Illustrious by West Yorkshire Spinners is a truly beautiful and luxurious yarn! A blend of 70% Falkland Island Wool and 30% British Alpaca - this is warm, soft, and machine washable so it is as practical as it is beautiful. The shades work well individually but also complement each other when undertaking Fairisle or intarsia projects. This gorgeous DK yarn will knit up beautifully on 4mm needles.

I spent ages researching yarn and bought WYS Illustrious to knit Alice Starmore's St Brigid tunic as wanted a softer and more drapey feel. The blend of Falklands Merino and British Alpaca is working perfectly and I can't wait to finish the project and wear it.

Lovely to handle. Has knitted well. Each ball was a continuous yarn with no joins.

This yarn is a wool and alpaca mix, I have not used an Alpaca yarn before but will now use alpaca again. It was lovely to work with and the scarf I made will be lovely and warm. Although the scarf is pretty long I even had enough yarn left to make a pair of gloves. I would defiantly buy this yarn again.
