Sock wool that is lovely to knit with and nice to wear.

This review should really be for the Kingcole Norse 4-ply, colour Loki, as the honeysuckle yarn was only bought to complement it. Because of the length of the repeat pattern, I decided to do the heels and the toes in complementary colours so that I could maximise on the pattern. I already had some Signature 4 ply in the Dusty Millar shade, so I was able to knit two pairs of socks. I still have a pink and a grey length of the patterned yarn left over, which I am currently using to make a headband for cold weather - might even have to wear it indoors this winter!

I have been asked to review Woodpigeon, but this is actually a review of the same yarn in Owl colour. The Woodpigeon socks were my first pair and I have already reviewed them, so I am sorry you appear not to have received it. However as the only difference is in the colour, I think you can safely say that this review applies to both. Once I got over the shock of finding how very fine 4ply wool is, and converting to circular needles, I really enjoyed having my own made to measure fine wool socks. They feel very cosy and look beautiful. In fact, if you check you recent records, you will see that I have just order two more bird colours plus two plain colours. I think this a good indication of how much I am enjoying using and wearing them. I find that I cannot get two pairs out of 100gms, so will knit the patterned cuffs and finish off the feet in a matching plain colour. I continued the k2 p2 ribbing along the topof the feet to get a snugger fit but still with the same number of stitches. I love them!

It is still in my stash.... at the moment I am knitting socks with WYS Signature 862 Mallard. One problem that is not an issue is that I used 2.5mm needles and next time I would use 2.25 or 2.0 for a tighter knit.

Lovely yarn to knit with, and it's really pretty as it knits up. Colours are gorgeous.

Arrived very promptly, thank you. Haven't used it yet, so can't comment on it in use. I'm hoping there will be more of this colourway at some stage.

This yarn is by far the best sock yarn I've worked with, bare none. No shredding of ply. This particular yarn pattern is pretty. I found it helpful to see it worked up because sometimes how it looks in the skein is deceiving. Oh, and the skein wrap is a dream to knit from as well (wish I could say the same of some other popular brands).

At this very moment, I am knitting Christmas socks using the WYS signature 4 ply yarn. The yarn is so soft and the color - lovely!

I love the excellent quality of WYS sock yarn and I love the colourway of the 'Pheasant' sock yarn in the 'Birds' range. I knitted hubby the Pheasant and Robin colourways.

I purchased this colour to add to my collection of sock wool, this plain shade will be used when I am knitting up the leftovers incase I don’t have enough yarn for scrappy socks. Lovely squishy yarn and makes a comfy pair of socks

Lovely yarn to knit with, I love the way the colour changes, just the same way the colour of the sea water changes
